  • World Mining Maps
    • State of the Industry as of 2005. First world map to be produced since 1988.
      The Precious Metals and Diamond map shows the distribution of the most important gold, silver, platinum group metals (platinum, palladium and rhodium) and diamond mines throughout the world. The base Metals map shows the distribution of all major copper, nickel, zinc, lead, tin and bauxite/aluminium mines and primary processing plants throughout the world.
      Map data was provided by Raw Materials Group, extracted from their proprietary database, Raw Material Data. The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) provided the GIS and artwork for the maps. Map production was sponsored by Standard Bank Plc.
