Modernisation of the mineral sector in Rumania

Rumania is rich in minerals, but both industry and the authorities need to adjust to modern Western methods and standards.
GEUS is participating in a major programme financed by the World Bank with the objective of establishing and modernising the mineral sector in Rumania. The purpose of the project is to develop a cadastral reference system for mines with related databases and procedures complying with Rumanian mining legislation.
This work is conducted jointly with two international firms - Landmark EAME, UK, and Intergraph Inc., Rumania.
