Greenland geo-information is easily available on
the web. This Fact Sheet presents some main sources providing access to different types of data and information. They are all under continued expansion through co-operation between the Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum (BMP) in Nuuk and the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) in Copenhagen.

GMOM
GMOM is an online version of a dynamic Greenland
Mineral Occurrence Map. The facility runs in ArcIMS GIS and gives access to maps of Greenland showing posi- tions of mineral occurrences plotted on different back- grounds such as topography, geology, geochemistry and geophysics. The maps can be manipulated using stan- dard GIS operations. The database behind the map holds information about some 700-800 sites (January 2009) and a subset of the attributes can be used for searches based on e.g. area, commodity, etc. For all
sites, a brief description can be read on-screen or
downloaded.
DODEX
An on-line database of company reports open to the
public. The database is presently being build by quality controlled scanning of documents and will by the end of 2009 hold all company mineral reports in GEUS' archives, handed in by companies, which have been active in exploration in Greenland. Confidential titles and information is of course not available to outside users. The database can be searched alphanumerically and geographically. Pdf-files of the reports, including maps, figures and tables can be read directly on-screen or be downloaded via a ftp-server, free of charge.
MINEX
A newsletter to the international mining industry with
up-to-date geoscientific and legislatory information about Greenland. MINEX is an acronym for Greenland Mineral Exploration Newsletter. The newsletter is pub- lished by GEUS in co-operation with Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum, Greenland Government. MINEX is avail- able free of charge.
Geology & Ore
A magazine for the mining industry and others interest-
ed in the mineral resources of Greenland. Written in
Greenland geo-information
available on the web

English and fully illustrated with photographs and
maps. It is published at irregular intervals. All issues of "Geology & Ore" can be read on-line and down - loaded in pdf-format. Take out a free subscription or get earlier issues of the printed version.
Fact Sheets
Fact sheets for the mining industry and other read-
ers interested in the geologists' hunt for minerals in Greenland. The sheets are written in English and are illustrated with photographs and graphs,
also published at irregular intervals. All issues of
"Fact Sheets" can be read on-line and down- loaded in pdf-format. Take out a free subscription or get earlier issues of the printed version.
A continuous process...
The contents of all of the web sources to geo-
information from Greenland are constantly being expanded and updated. New sites are added to GMOM, company reports and later relevant report/publications from GEUS will be added to DODEX, and new issues of MINEX, Geology & Ore and Fact Sheets are produced regularly.
Concluding remarks
If you are interested in exploration in Greenland,
please bookmark these web-sites. As they are all still under construction, you may occasionally need to contact GEUS to obtain the reports you require. For instance, if the report you would like to see in DODEX still has not been released as a quality controlled pdf-file, we will prioritise this report in the processing and get it to you as fast as possible.
Your comments on these facilities are always wel-
come.
