Integrated Hydrological information System (1998 - 1999)

Description: The Integrated hydrological Information System consists of digital maps of watercourses and lakes. The system includes information about Danish marine areas, lakes, streams, wetlands, spring, gauging stations. It will be possible to extract statistical information's such as area, number length, direction of run-off and drainage for all topics and to draw maps of catchment area corresponding to a stream, lake, gauging station or coast section.

The system will be based on the ArcInfo / ArcView GIS and have access to digital topographic maps from the National Survey and Cadastre and will be online for users in the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

To be used for estimate load and transport of nutrients and contaminants from farmland and point emissions to recipients.

Estimation will be used for the annual report for National Danish Environmental Action Plan.
