    • Niels Nørgaard-Pedersen er maringeolog med speciale i tolkningen af sedimentære aflejringer og Kvartær-Holocæn klima variabilitet  i Arktis og Nordatlanten. Hans nuværende arbejdsfokus er på fjord sedimentation i Grønland relateret til gletscherdynamik og klimapåvirkning. Han er leder af projektet “Kanersuneq Isfjord - et isdynamisk laboratorium”, og deltager i projekterne SEDIMICE, PERMAGAS, og Nordisk Kystnetværksgruppe. Udover den klimarelaterede forskning, bidrager han til den maringeologiske gruppes kommercielle projekter med  geofysisk og geologisk kortlægning af de danske farvande.
