Data from all seismic surveys shot in the Danish sector are available from GEUS when released. Data reprocessed on non-exclusive basis are generally not to be available from GEUS.

Seismic navigation data are not confidential. For that reason the most recent surveys are also included on the maps. Generally, confidentiality on geophysical data is 5 years from the data of processing. Processing dates are listed below ( processing dates 2D).

The table " Surveys, lines and kilometers " lists the total number of kilometers on surveys completely or only partly situated in the Danish sector. Only lines or part of lines situated in the Danish sector are available from GEUS.

What can you read from the survey name ?

Since 1982/83 the 2D survey names have been composed of the abbreviated operator name, the acquisition year, and a code for the geographic area. The only exception is, that surveys acquired by DUC are named "DK". It is confusing that two non-exclusive surveys shot by GSI are named DK182C and DK282N. The area codes are:

• C = Central Graben
• N = North Sea outside the Central Graben
• H = Horn Graben
• S = Skagerrak
• D = Northern and central Jylland
• T = Southern Jylland and Western Baltic Sea
• K = Kattegat
• O = Danish islands
• B = Bornholm area

3D survey names are composed of either a structure name or a field name, a dash, and the acquisition year.

The most recent surveys do not follow these nomenclature rules.
