Based on public funding and a defined strategy to stimulate mining exploration activities in Greenland, airborne geophysical surveys have been conducted over parts of Greenland, producing a total of 590 000 linekilometres of geophysical data.
The survey areas are shown on the

The
AEM Greenland 1994-1998
project, encompassed high resolution detailed multi-parameter surveys (electromagnetic, magnetic and partly radiometric) in each of the years from 1994 to 1998 producing a total of 75 000 linekilometres. The
Aeromag
projects, encompassed high resoultion magnetic surveys conducted in 1992, each of the years from 1995 to 1999 and in 2001 producing a total of 515 000 linekilometres. The projects were financed by the governments of Greenland and Denmark.
Exploration companies active in Greenland have also carried out airborne geophysical surveys. These are not included in this presentation, but information and data can be obtained from GEUS for the surveys where confidentiality is not applied. Contact
