Lefthand photo shows the Amitsoq mine, which was active 1915-25. The photo below was taken in 1992 shows relics from the abandoned Amitsoq mine seen against Ketilidian mountains - in the center of the Background the prominent mount "Kirkespir" located near the Nalunaq gold prospect . Lefthand lower photo shows the Nalunaq gold prospect and the track up to the test adit excavated in 1998.
